Follow Up Housing SummitJune 6, 2017, 2 to 5 pm at Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center
Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation is hosting a series of Housing Summits to address the future housing needs due to the projected and expected increase of personnel at Eielson Air Force Base from the addition of two squadrons of F-35s. The 2nd summit in the series will be held from 2 to 5 pm on June 6, 2017, at the Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center.
These Summits are intended to provide interested parties with much of the initial information on expected housing requirements, preferred housing locations, challenges, and any resources to overcome those obstacles. Our goal is to provide you with the information you’ll need to make educated decisions regarding your involvement in this exciting economic opportunity.
This next Housing Summit will feature interactive breakout sessions such as: zoning, funding sources, Military Facility Zones, infrastructure needs, available housing (both for purchase and rentals), as well as dedicated outreach to the community to showcase this increase in population and what that can mean for existing rental property owners.
Please contact Becca Brado of FEDC with any ideas/suggestions for this summit or questions about it. You can RSVP on Facebook. Feel free to invite anyone else who might be interested.
